However Active Release Techniques is not only for the athlete community. So if you are sitting a lot behind your desk or in your car, if you are experiencing chronic headaches or simply suffer from pain related to muscles or nerves, than ART can also benefit you.

HOW DO OVERUSE ISSUES OCCUR
HOW DOES ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUES WORK?
Every Active Release session is a combination of first; examination and second; treatment. The Active Release provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves (and the relationship of moving tissues to one another). Abnormal tissues are then treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements in order to actively release the tissues.
